Individual Therapy
All are welcome. Your therapist at Holding Space will listen deeply to help you better understand your difficulties, connect with your strengths and needs, and help you to envision and access your path to wellbeing. Offering huge doses of respect and empathy, our approaches are relational/neurobiological and assist you to understand yourself and your relationships at the deepest levels. This kind of tuning in can help you in every type of relationship, including with yourself, family, children, partners, friends, and colleagues.
Relationship Therapy
Your therapist ‘tunes in’ to your experiences in order to understand the needs, longings and patterns of relating that you bring to your relationship. Relationship difficulties often stem from patterns that were learned in the past as a means of coping. Negative repetitive cycles can leave persons feeling disconnected and at an impasse, or in the turmoil of conflict. We truly believe in the real potential for growth and building new patterns together.
We offer calm, non-judgemental, and warm presence which supports each party in the relationship to feel heard and to gain empathy for each other so that they can free themselves from the painful snags, barriers, or breakdowns in trust and safety that they experience. We are also ready to connect and assist with the intense emotional distress that each of you may be struggling with.

My experience over the last 30 years includes private practice, community non-profit, community health care and teaching as an adjunct field supervisor with the University of Toronto Graduate Studies Social Work program.
In consulting with, and supporting therapists I repeatedly experience profound respect for the energy, capacity and commitment my colleagues offer to their clients’ wellbeing. I easily lean into the role of being supportive, encouraging, challenging and protective.
The cornerstones of my theoretical framework include the centrality of relational practice, attachment theory, relational neuroscience, embodied mindfulness, developmental psychology, trauma theory and an inclusive anti-oppression framework.
